Upon completion of this CME live activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the clinical presentations and summarize management of vaccine- preventable diseases in recent outbreaks
  2. Describe serologic correlates of protections and their applications and misapplications
  3. Discuss emerging tick-borne infections in the mid-Atlantic region
  4. Review new recommendations regarding prescribing doxycycline for tick-borne infections
  5. Recognize the epidemiology and risk factors of mycobacterium tuberculosis infections
  6. Discuss indications for and interpretation of tuberculin skin tests versus interferon gamma release assay
  7. Review treatment regimens for latent tuberculosis infection
