Extra Life: Play Games to Help Heal Local Kids

Nov 3, 2018 from 12 a.m. - 11:45 p.m. (ET)

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) challenges you to register for Extra Life, a 24-hour gaming and fundraising marathon on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018. You’ll join a national movement that has raised more than $40 million for sick and injured kids like Emily.

Emily standing outside smiling with guitar Emily was diagnosed before birth with a tumor on her tailbone. Her parents were referred to CHOP's Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment. In the 34th week of pregnancy, the tumor hemorrhaged, causing Emily to lose a lot of blood. She was born by emergency c-section and given three blood transfusions, and then doctors surgically removed the tumor. Now 4 years old, Emily is a happy, healthy child who's completely caught up to her peers. She loves soccer, dancing, swimming and playing her favorite game, Candy Land.

Register today to play games and raise money for local children, like Emily, who need your help.
