Hypothalamic Obesity in Children & Adolescents

This lecture will discuss approaches to evaluation and management of children and adolescents with acquired hypothalamic obesity. For the purposes of this discussion, hypothalamic obesity refers to the excess weight gain that occurs in the setting of an injury to the hypothalamus, most often related to a brain tumor or its treatment, that can be challenging to treat. We will also review avenues of future research.
