Gently: A Pediatric Approach

Objectives:

  • Discuss how the approach to imaging children differs from adults

  • Understand differences in imaging quality and safety due to specific imaging equipment

  • Recognize why pediatric ultrasound relies on the expertise of the technologist

Congenital Hydronephrosis: Risk Stratification and Indications for Treatment 

Objectives: 

  • Define antenatal and postnatal urinary tract dilation

  • Distinguish various imaging modalities for appropriate risk-stratification of urinary tract dilation

  • Understand the presentation, diagnosis and treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction
