Highlighting Teen Cancer Awareness

Join the Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Oncology Program to learn how to make pizza from scratch! We will make homemade dough and sauce, and we’ll create personal pizzas to enjoy. Along the way, you’ll learn tips on proper knife skills and cooking techniques. This event is for ages 15 and up, and participants can bring one friend or family member.

Parking

There is metered street parking surrounding the library as well as a paid lot at 19th and Callowhill streets.

This event is led by the Nourishing Literacy team. Nourishing Literacy is a set of programs from the Free Library’s Culinary Literacy Center that connect youth, teachers and caregivers to the library through educational cooking opportunities. Life and learning skills are emphasized as students work with and taste fresh and flavorful foods as a community.
