REACH For College

REACH for College is a program for high school students with chronic illness who plan to go to college. Some examples of chronic illnesses include Diabetes, IBD, Epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease and more. Students, ages 15 to 19, and their parents/caregivers will meet local college students who have a chronic illness, learn about available resources, and be advised about creating a healthcare plan with your medical teams.

This workshop will include:

  • Discussions on self-advocacy skills
  • A presentation from healthcare providers
  • A presentation from Student Disability Services
  • Youth and caregiver specific sessions
