In-Person Details  

We’re hosting an exciting exploratory workshop on pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and we hope to see you in person at the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research, 2716 South Street, Philadelphia, on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at 9 a.m. You will learn about the latest developments in clinical care from CHOP surgical experts from the divisions of Urology, Neurosurgery, General Surgery and Orthopedics. This workshop is open to all General Pediatric Professionals. 

Topics will include: 

  • Pediatric Urology Primer – Management of Hydronephrosis and Hypospadias, presented by Karl F. Godlewski, MD, Attending Physician with the Division of Urology at CHOP  
  • New Frontiers in Epilepsy/Functional Neurosurgery at CHOP, presented by Benjamin C. Kennedy, MD, Attending Neurosurgeon and Director of Epilepsy and Functional Neurosurgery in the Division of Neurosurgery at CHOP  
  • Updates on Chest Wall Deformities for the Practicing Pediatrician, presented by Gary W. Nace, Jr., MD, FACS, FAAP, Attending Pediatric Surgeon with the Division of Pediatric General, Thoracic and Fetal Surgery and the Trauma Center at CHOP 
  • Overuse Injuries in the Young Athlete, presented by Michael Beasley, MD, FAAP, CAQSM, FAMSSM, Pediatric Sports Medicine Specialist with the Orthopedics Center at CHOP
