Hosted by the Diabetes Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), this free workshop is for CHOP patients with diabetes, and their families, who are thinking about college or planning to go to college in the Fall 2019. You will learn about how to prepare for the start of college and what to do when you get there. The information will help patients make a smooth transition to college.

The workshop will run from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., and will be divided into two parts: one for prospective college students with diabetes, and the other for parents/guardians. Each group will meet with a social worker and with a nurse provider or certified diabetes educator.

Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Parking

Parking is available at the Buerger garage. Parking tickets will need to be validated at the workshop in order to receive the patient rate.
