Green Out Game

Haverford Hockey Club Boys Varsity Hockey Team hosted their annual Green Out Game to raise funds for CHOP’s cancer research. The team along with their presenting sponsor, Premier Orthopedics as well as other support from the community was able to come together and raise over $1,000 for CHOP!

A huge thank you to Grace Auto Group for raising $10,000 this holiday season! During the month of December, the dealership donated $250 for every car sold to benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. We are so incredibly grateful for their support!

Hope Fore! Hearts
FY21 Money Raised: $3,500
A huge thank you to Tyler Debusschere, who raised $3,500 for the Cardiac Center at CHOP with his Hope Fore! Hearts golf fundraiser. Tyler was inspired by his older brother Jackson’s battle to overcome Giant Cell Myocarditis. Tyler is also an aspiring cardiologist as a result of Jackson’s experience and wants to be able to help others in healing their hearts! This spring, Tyler will be hosting his fundraiser again during his golf season! Way to go Tyler and good luck this upcoming season!

2 Infamous 4 Da Streets

Thank you so much to 2 Infamous 4 Da Streets for hosting a series of car cruises to support CHOP! In their first year fundraiser, they were able to successfully raise $1,000! The 2 Infamous 4 Da Streets Auto Club is a group of individuals that strive to improve our ways of reaching out to those in need of support, care and a helping hand. Members participate in both automobile and motorcycle related activities to include car cruises/meets, car shows, funeral runs, fundraisers, political campaigns, vigils, and additionally support other organizations or auto/ motorcycle clubs and their events. Motorcycles for Maura

Thank you so much to the first year event, Motorcycles for Maura! Maura’s family and friends raised over $10,000 for the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at CHOP in her memory.

Connections through Art
FY20 Money Raised: $1,000+
Thank you to the Connections through Art Auction. Ethan Duong wanted to raise money through an art auction through his senior project. The art for this auction, pictured above, was made and donated by students, staff, and community at Renaissance Academy Charter School. He was able to meet his goal and sent a $1000 donation to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This money will be used to help support the hospital during this covid pandemic. To all the artists, promoters, and auction participants of this event, we send a heartfelt thank you.

TJ Pope
FY20 Money Raised: $1000
A huge thank you to TJ Pope, who raised $1,000 for the APMS Program at CHOP! TJ was a patient in the AMPS program two years ago and wanted to pay it forward for his senior project. He reached out to local businesses for donations and gift cards and hosted a sweepstakes at his high school football game and a band craft fair. Way to go TJ!

Marlboro Township Police Department
FY20 Money Raised: $6100
To honor Parkway Ambassador Addison Kaplan, the Marlboro Township Police Department held a No Shave November fundraiser to raise money to benefit the Child Life Oncology Department-something that is so special to Addi and helped her greatly in her treatment. Marlboro PD was able to raise an incredible $6,100 for CHOP and plans to continue their fundraising efforts! Thank you so much for your support!

American Airlines Pizza With a Purpose Fundraiser
FY20 Money Raised: $1272.50
Way to go American Airlines Language Matters Italian Group! For the third year in a row, they hosted a themed company lunch to raise money in honor of an employee’s grandson. This year’s theme was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and featured pizza, soda and basket drawings. They were able to raise $1272.50 for the Cancer Center at CHOP!

Chelednik Family Living for Two Fundraiser
FY20 Money Raised: $2370
Thank you so much to the Chelednik Family for hosting their Inaugural Living for Two Fundraiser! This Halloween themed dinner featured auction items, sweepstakes and a costume contest! They were able to raise an amazing $2370 for the Fetal Diagnosis Center at CHOP!

Riverton Police Association
FY20 Money Raised: $1500
The Riverton Police Association participated in their second annual No Shave November to raise money for the Cancer Center at CHOP! This year they were able to raise $1,500! In addition to making a monetary contribution this year, the Riverton Police Association donated a unique, custom-made battery operated children's car, replicating an actual Riverton Police Department patrol vehicle. The toy SUV was even outfitted with police lights and decals. The car was donated to CHOP patient Thomas Melvin and his family.

Cayla Jacobs
FY20 Money Raised: $400
Cayla Jacobs, mother to two CHOP patients, hosted her first ever Run For Autism Barrel Bash on October 19th, 2019. This family fun day included a barrel race, Chinese auction, and sweepstakes! She was able to raise $400 in her first year to raise money for the Center for Autism Research here at CHOP! A huge thank you to Cayla and her team for putting on this amazing fundraiser!

Back In The Day Car Club
FY20 Money Raised: $500
A huge thank you to Alfonzo Dowe, Theodore Dowe, James White, James Porter, Jimmy Johns and Robert Ransom-members of the Back In The Day Car Club who fundraised for the Children’s Fund at CHOP! They hosted a Chinese action during their annual car show Back in the Day Car Show in Pedricktown, NJ. Thank you so much for your support!

Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women
FY20 Money Raised: $2620.00
Way to go Jabz! Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women is a women’s fitness studio based out of Arizona. This year, two of their locations on the east coast -- Ridley Park, PA and Voorhees, NJ -- hosted a month long fundraiser in September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month! The two studios were able to raise a total of $2,620 for the Cancer Center at CHOP! Thank you so much for your support!

Claire Cordell Bake Sale

A huge thank you to 8 year old Claire, who raised $500 for cancer research through her bake sale fundraiser! A cancer survivor herself, Claire was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, and has been 3 years cancer free. We are so grateful to Claire for her hard work raising funds and awareness for CHOP.

Magical Mila Foundation Event
FY20 Money Raised: $120,000
Congratulations to The Magical Mila Foundation on an unbelievably successful first event! The foundation raised $120,000 in their first event held on August 9 at Maynard’s Café in Margate, NJ. This foundation is dedicated to the beautiful life and memory of 17-month-old Mila Gray Roomberg, who lost her life due to a rare manifestation of Neurofibromatosis Type 1. Proceeds from the event will benefit blood pressure technology, education and awareness at CHOP.

Tommy's Fundraiser
FY20 Money Raised: $326
Tommy, 15, held a neighborhood fundraiser in December where he created and sold luminaries to neighbors to display on their curbs for the holiday season. He raised $326 for the Cancer Center at CHOP. Way to go Tommy!

Connor's Fundraiser

Connor, a longtime patient at CHOP, really wanted to give back to the hospital. He saved all his allowance from this year to donate to CHOP. He also wrote a compelling email urging his family to join him. His fundraising efforts raised $1,000 for the Patient-Family Experience at CHOP!

Chips for CHOP

Ava, a fifth grader at Dennis Township Elementary School, sold chips to her classmates and teachers for two days to benefit the Food Allergy Program at CHOP. Ava is an amazing example of a kid helping other kids just like her!

Ava and her friends at Old Farmers Road School in Long Valley, NJ, held a fundraising booth at their school fair and donated $59 to CHOP's Celiac Center.

Woodbridge Police and Woodbridge Fire/EMS

A huge thank you to the Woodbridge Police (PBA Local #38) and Woodbridge Fire/EMS for raising $5,000 for Child Life at CHOP with their 8th Annual Emergency Services Cup! The two teams were joined by retired NHL and Team USA Special Olympic sled hockey players with the goal to pick a charity to donate to and to raise more money than the previous year. We are so grateful for their support of CHOP and look forward to cheering them on in the future!

Star Bound Gymnastics Academy Raises Funds

Star Bound Gymnastics Academy raised $15,000 at the 22nd Annual Star Struck Invitational at the Atlantic City Convention Center for the Child Life Department. Star Bound has raised $79,000 for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in just four years! We are so thankful for their hard work and support!

Riverton Police Department’s No-Shave November
FY19 Money Raised: $1,000
Thank you to Patrolman Andrew Beuschel, Chief John Shaw, Patrolman Vincent Coniglione, Patrolman Jeffrey Walker, and members of the Riverton Police Department who participated in their No-Shave November Fundraiser. They raised funds for and awareness of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia by not shaving their facial hair during the months of November and December. Their first annual fundraiser raised $1,000, benefitting the Children’s Fund at CHOP!

American Airlines Pasta with a Purpose Fundraiser
FY19 Money Raised: $2,400
A huge thank you to American Airlines Language Matters Italian Group for hosting their Grinch themed Pasta with a Purpose Fundraiser. This festive fundraiser featured employees selling pasta, meatballs, cake and cannoli along with a variety of basket drawings. The event raised $2,400, which will benefit the Cancer Center at CHOP in honor of an employee’s grandson.

Priyanka Hanumaihgari’s Fundraiser
FY19 Money Raised: $500
Thank you to Priyanka Hanumaihgari from Allentown, PA. After volunteering at various hospitals, she developed a passion for helping kids and wanted to focus her efforts on raising money for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She raised over $500 for the Cancer Center by selling unused dance items that she had bought for her Indian classical dance performances at the annual North American Telugu Association conference.

2018 Anthony’s Italian Open

Thank you to Anthony Foster and Michael Melvin for their incredible support of CHOP through the 2018 Anthony’s Italian Open golf outing! The event is hosted by Anthony’s Ristorante and Banquet Center and was held at Paxon Hollow Country Club.

Julia's Grace Foundation
FY19 Money Raised: $10,000
The Julia’s Grace Foundation has graciously donated $10,000 to the Integrative Health Program at CHOP. This donation will help fund a part-time yoga instructor for cancer patients at King of Prussia. Through their yoga practice, patients will experience a measure of relief from their illness and treatment side effects and will learn techniques that will serve them well for a lifetime.

James' Par for the Harbor
FY19 Money Raised: $7,500
Thank you to James and his family for hosting their first annual golf tournament, James’ Par for the Harbor, last July and raising an amazing $7,500 for the Roberts Collaborative for Genetics and Individualized Medicine! They’re gearing up for their second golf outing coming up on July 27, 2019.

Gymratz Family Fit Day
FY18 Money Raised: nearly $2,500
Thank you to Gymratz for hosting their first Family Fit Day to benefit Sickle Cell Disease and Research! The day raised almost $2,500 and was held June 23, 2018, at McCreesh Park in Philadelphia.

Elan's Cure for ADEM
FY18 Money Raised: $1,750
When Elan was 6, he was diagnosed with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM). Neurologists at CHOP were the only ones able to correctly identify this rare neurological disease as well as provide the support and medical care. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at CHOP Elan made a complete recovery. To spread the word and say thank you, Elan hosted Elan's Cure for ADEM with his friends, family and school and raised $1,750! Thank you Elan for your hard work and support!

Lemonade Stand at the Shore
FY18 Money Raised: $103
Liesel, Miles, Maggie, Emma, Peter and Autumn — several of whom have received care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) over the course of their short lives —organized a lemonade and iced tea stand in Long Island last summer. They are all Curious George fans with appreciation for his philanthropic pursuits and were inspired to give back. They raised $103 at their shore-side stand and decided to donate all of the money they earned to support patients at CHOP.

Faulkner Auto Group

A huge thank you to Faulkner Auto Group and their amazing network of dealerships and collisions centers. Employees purchased T-shirts to be worn throughout the summer to support CHOP. Proceeds from the sale benefitted Cancer Research at CHOP.

Thank you to Amy and Ben Melgaard and the entire Boonton High School and Pequannock High School boys lacrosse teams and their efforts to raise money for Dr. Leahy’s retinoblastoma research. This charity lacrosse game was played in memory of Ben’s cousin, Max, who passed away in August 2017.

Samantha’s Mitzvah Project

A big thank you to 13-year-old Samantha who raised $2,000 by selling bracelets and Super Bowl boxes for her mitzvah project. The funds will be used to support families at CHOP as they navigate their child’s celiac disease diagnosis and will allow them to buy and sample gluten free foods.

Cocktails for a Cure
FY18 Money Raised: Over $20,000
Cocktails for a Cure, hosted on March 10, raised over $20,000 for FBXL4 Research at CHOP being conducted by Dr. Marni Falk. The event included a fun night of silent auction, basket drawings and a 50/50. Thank you to Juliet’s Cure and A Cure for Addison and Jacob for helping to make breakthroughs happen in mitochondrial research.

Star Bound Gymnastics Raises Funds

Way to go Star Bound Gymnastics! This year the gym raised $25,000 for the Child Life Fund at CHOP through the 21st Annual Star Struck Invitational that took place January 12 through 14 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This group has raised over $68,000 for CHOP in just three years!

2017 Vinyasa and Vino

Thank you to CrossFit KOP for hosting their second Vinyasa and Vino event! They raised over $500 for the Cardiac Center through a donation yoga class where friends shared wine and snacks with Vinyasa yoga class.

Elite TOMA Break-A-Thon

Thank you to Elite TOMA Martial Arts and all of their students who participated in the 2017 Break-A-Thon, raising $13,000 for the Children's Fund at CHOP! Students received donations and pledges for the number of boards they broke on Break-A-Thon day.

RJS for POTS
FY18 Money Raised: Nearly $2,000
RJS in Richboro raised almost $2,000 for POTS research at CHOP! The Run, Jump, Sweat fundraiser consisted of donation-based fitness classes for the day.

Rally for Reagan
To honor a teammate’s family member currently battling cancer, the Muhlenberg College women’s volleyball team has led an incredible fundraising effort throughout the month of October to raise money for the oncology program at CHOP as well as increase awareness and support of childhood cancer. To date, “Rally for Reagan” has raised over $7,000. Thank you!

Turkey Bowl
FY18 Money Raised: $31,000
The 6th Annual Lannigan’s Turkey Bowl raised an amazing $31,000 for the Children’s Fund at CHOP. The fundraiser, put on by Jim and Andrea Lannigan, continues to grow in its success year after year, and CHOP couldn’t be more thankful for the hard work the family puts in to help fund tomorrow’s breakthroughs!

Fourth Annual Love from Lenny Golf Outing
The Fourth Annual Love from Lenny Golf Outing, Dinner and Silent Auction was held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Radnor Valley Country Club. The event was hosted by the Love from Lenny Foundation in memory of Lenny Siegel, a beloved member of the local community. The money raised will be dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and families in need through the Hope for Families Fund.

Jackson's Heroes' 5K and Family Fun Run

Thank you to Jackson's Heroes for donating $10,000 from the Jackson's Heroes' 5K Run and Family Fun Walk held on October 15. The donation benefited the PICU at CHOP in memory of Jackson.

Zeke’s Memory 5k

In memory of her grandson who suffered from a rare autoinflammatory disease, Diane Fairbanks held the 2nd Annual Zeke’s Memory 5k walk in South Dartmouth, MA, to raise money for Dr. Behrens’ Rheumatology Research Fund. To date, Diane has raised over $7,000 through this event! Thank you!

Shaina’s Lemonade Stand
A big thank you to Shaina Berkowitz who raised $240 for research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) by holding a lemonade stand in her community! She was inspired by her third-grade teacher, Mrs. Arnaiz, who raised $4,000 for CHOP with the help of her class at Hallowell Elementary School. It’s children like Shaina that help to make tomorrow’s breakthroughs possible.

Third Annual Fore For 4H Golf Outing

The third annual Fore For 4H Golf Outing held on July 15 was another tremendous success! The Triptow Family hosted more than 200 people for a day of golf, great food and basket drawings. They raised more than $10,000 for 4H syndrome research at CHOP!

Open Junior 9Ball Benefit Tournament

Second Annual March for Maddie
