Corporate Giving

Connect the Good
Corporate philanthropy is vital to the work we do at CHOP because it provides critical support that helps advance patient care, research and community impact. We make it easy for companies to give and get involved through customized partnerships, tax-credit based giving programs and employee engagement opportunities that create meaningful impact for children and families.

The benefits of corporate philanthropic giving

Corporate philanthropic giving is a strategic investment that supports long-term business objectives. When aligned with a company’s mission and stakeholders, philanthropy can strengthen brand value, improve relationships with customers and employees, and enhance overall competitiveness.

Additionally, this investment creates strategic value through visibility, relationship-building opportunities, and long-term investment in the health and stability of our greater community. Leaders from our closest corporate philanthropic supporters are also invited to join our Corporate Council, further deepening engagement and partnership with CHOP.

Tax Programs

Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program

Administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the EITC Program awards tax credits of up to 90% to businesses that contribute to approved programs and CHOP is eligible to receive EITC funds. At CHOP, the funds support our Hospital School Program. Businesses who are approved by the state can give to CHOP directly. For businesses and individuals who are not state approved, CHOP partners with a Special Purpose Entity as an alternative.

Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)

Administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, NAP provides tax credits up to 90% to businesses that contribute to approved programs that improve distressed neighborhoods. CHOP applies to NAP annually to bolster support for various community-based programs. We invite you to join us in improving the communities around CHOP and commitment letters are needed by May 30 each year.

Engage Your Company

CHOP has many ways your employees can make a unique, tangible difference for children and their families. One of the most impactful sponsorship and engagement opportunities for our corporate partners is Helping Hands: Community Care Challenge. This event brings together dozens of corporate partners and hundreds of volunteers for a high-energy, hands-on day of service. Hosted annually, Helping Hands allows participants to assemble care kits and resources that directly support CHOP patients and families across a wide range of programs.
