The CHOP Global Health Center is committed to advancing bidirectional learning and strengthening clinical capacity worldwide. As part of this mission, the Center partially sponsors international clinicians to visit CHOP for observerships lasting from a week to two months. During their time at CHOP, observers engage directly with CHOP teams, gaining exposure to clinical practice, education, and innovation within their specialty areas. 

Since 2023, the Global Health Center has welcomed more than 60 observers from various low- and middle-income countries, including Botswana, Cameroon, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Ghana,South Africa, and Vietnam. Observers have spent time across a broad range of divisions, including Adolescent Medicine, Cardiology, Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, General Pediatrics, Genetics, Infectious Disease, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Radiology, and Surgery.
