Social media resources for your liver donor search

If you’re looking to promote living donor organ donation through your social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc.), sharing your personal transplant journey is a compelling way to raise awareness, educate followers on the need for organ donation, and encourage others to become living donors.

We have created social media graphics that can be useful in your search for a living donor for a liver transplant.

How to create a social media post with the graphic

Download or screenshot the templates below to share. Fill in the blanks. When you post to your social media channels, you can link to a personal page or link to an informational page for people to learn more.

How to Post on Instagram

  1. Open Instagram and tap your profile picture or swipe right to open Stories camera
  2. Swipe up or tap the gallery and select the social media graphic
  3. Position/zoom the image to fit (pinch to scale)
  4. Tap Aa (text) and fill in the blanks. Use font options at top, pinch to resize and move it into the blank
  5. Tap on Smiley icon to add a photo, link, GIF, music, etc.
  6. Tap on Your Stories to post

How to Post on Facebook

  1. Open Facebook, and tap Create Story or the + Story circle
  2. Select the social media graphic from your gallery
  3. Tap Text (Aa) to add text into the blank space. Use font options, pinch to resize and move it into the blank
  4. Tap on Stickers icon to add a photo, link, GIF, music, etc.
  5. Tap Share to Story

You can cross-post from Instagram to Facebook if accounts are linked.
