Spina Bifida Virtual Mentorship Group
The CHOP Spina Bifida Program invites patients and caregivers to join a virtual mentorship group focused on transitioning to adulthood with spina bifida. This program brings together young adults living with spina bifida and their parents to learn from individuals who have successfully navigated the transition to adulthood.
What to expect?
Hear from former CHOP patients and experienced parents as they share their perspective and tips for:
- Transitioning to adult healthcare
- College, work, and independent living
- Building confidence and self-advocacy
- Relationships and social life
- Managing your health as an adult
Each session will include a live Q&A and open discussion, and will focus on a different specific topic selected by participants.
Who should attend?
- Patients 18 years and older living with spina bifida
- Parents and caregivers of teens and young adults with spina bifida
