Each year, approximately 1 million babies are born with congenital heart disease (CHD) worldwide. Thanks to enormous advances in medicine, technology and healthcare — many of which are being made at the Cardiac Center at CHOP — the outlook for these children is better than ever before. Our patients are incredible examples of the power of quality medical care and research. They're also an inspiration to families facing a CHD diagnosis.
