Thousands of kids are diagnosed with cancer every year, but their odds of beating it have never been better. In a special airing on CBS Sunday Morning, “Beyond Cancer,” Dr. Peter Adamson detailed new therapies that are helping more children be cured, and stressed the importance of not only curing children, but ensuring quality of life down the road. Also profiled: A young neuroblastoma survivor given new hope by a gene therapy developed at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) by Dr. Yael Mossé and her team.
