The Alternative Press Features Thyroid Cancer Patient

Shannon Fonti of South Plainfield, New Jersey, is a thyroid cancer patient at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In September 2014, she served as an ambassador at the Four Seasons Parkway Run and Walk, the largest annual fundraiser for childhood cancer research at CHOP.

As an ambassador, Shannon helped spread the word about the important of research in the fight against pediatric cancers. The Alternative Press told her story. Read the full article.
