Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Earns 2026 Military Friendly® Employer Designation
November 11, 2025

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) announced today that it has earned the 2026 Military Friendly ® Employer designation. Institutions earning the designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. This is the sixth year in a row that CHOP has received the distinction, which will be featured in the Winter issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine and on www.MilitaryFriendly.com.

CHOP was awarded the Military Friendly® Employer designation for its ability to meet thresholds in attracting, retaining, promoting and advancing veterans and military employees.

“We are proud CHOP maintains a culture that supports and empowers veterans based on their skills and experiences,” said Calvin U. Allen, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “This recognition is a testament of our commitment to our veteran colleagues; we value and honor their contributions and are so grateful for their continued service.”

“This recognition is a testament to the ongoing efforts and dedication we have at CHOP to honor and support our military community,” said Patricia Lee, PMP, Digital and Technology Services Project Manager and Executive Officer of the U.S. Military Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “We are proud to have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate those who have served.”

The U.S. Military ERG at CHOP focuses on developing the careers of veteran and active-duty employees, supporting military patient families and employees, and engaging in community philanthropy. The group is open to all CHOP employees, regardless of veteran status or current active-duty status, as well as employees with family members who are active duty, guard, reserve, or veterans.

Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community. Over 2,900 organizations are considered for Military Friendly® designation each year.
