Adeline Vanderver, MD
Beth Leduc wasn’t expecting her son Christian to be diagnosed with leukodystrophy. Now, she’s making sure other families in Vermont know the signs and symptoms of this condition and what can be done to help them.
Vermont television station WCAX interviewed Beth as well as Dr. Adeline Vanderver, an attending physician in the Division of Neurology and Program Director of the Leukodystrophy Center of Excellence at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Vanderver provided a brief overview of H-ABC, the condition that affects Christian. While the condition has no cure yet, Vanderver and others are continuously conducting research into new methods to better diagnose and treat this condition.
