July 30, 2015, marked the 50th anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid. Since 1965, these two national health programs have enabled millions of elderly and low-income Americans to receive healthcare services.

Today, Medicaid, along with the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), provide coverage to more than 43 million children, including many with medical complexity. The ACE Kids Act will ensure that Medicaid works even better for those children who rely upon it to cover their critical care.
