The Philadelphia Inquirer featured an article written by Jeanette Trella, managing director of the Poison Control Center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Mike Cohen, president of the Institute of Safe Medications, about safety issues in the use of compounded pain creams.

The authors make the case for the need for prominent warnings on labels that describe the potential for toxicity.
