Ellie, Riley and Maddie Selley were born extremely premature. Maddie, the youngest of the triplets, was in grave condition at the time of her birth and spent 319 days in the Newborn/Infant Intensive Care Unit (N/IICU).
Now 4 years old, the sisters returned to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for the Second Annual Chronic Lung Disease Reunion in October 2017. Their clinical team, including Huayan Zhang, MD, an attending neonatologist and Medical Director of the Newborn and Infant Chronic Lung Disease Program, was simply amazed at her progress.
