Geneva Burney Maxwell Award Winner

Antoinette Edwards with Karen Hudson Congratulations to Antoinette Edwards, the 2018 winner of the Geneva Burney Maxwell Memorial Service Award.

This award was established by Karen Maxwell Hudson in honor and loving memory of her mother, Geneva Burney Maxwell, a very special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. This annual award is given to a mother residing at St. Barnabas Mission, chosen by fellow residents and staff, who demonstrates exemplary service to her children, family and her community — both in and outside the shelter.

All wholeheartedly agreed that Edwards demonstrated all of these qualities and more! We extend our sincerest congratulations to Antoinette and offer well wishes for her continued strength and leadership while in shelter and after shelter.
