August 21, 2013 — GlobalPhilly™ 2013 is a collection of global, international and multicultural events and activities sponsored by the Global Philadelphia Association. The events, which run from Sept. 15 to Nov. 1, shine a spotlight on the many international dimensions of the Greater Philadelphia area.
The 6th Annual CHOP Pediatric Global Health Conference is an anchor program of GlobalPhilly 2013. The topic this year is, "Violence Against Children: Global Perspectives on Resilience, Response and Health Outcomes."
Rodney Finalle, MD, who launched the Global Health Program at CHOP, was interviewed for an article about this year's conference as it relates to other advocacy events that are a part of GlobalPhilly 2013. The "advocacy" category of the exposition is reserved for events that focus on promoting dialogue about a host of issues affecting humanity worldwide, and how Philadelphians fit into the international discourse.
