HHI and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children: Magnifying Impact

For more than five years, the Homeless Health Initiative (HHI) has shared the model of our numerous programs, including CHOP Night (shelter clinic visits), with colleagues at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Several pediatricians at St. Chris have visited the HHI CHOP Night clinics and have implemented similar clinics at additional shelters in the region. Daniel Taylor, DO, has been leading St. Chris’ pediatric clinics at two Women Against Abuse shelters, and Elizabeth Thomas, MD, has led similar shelter clinic efforts at the Salvation Army Red Shield Residence.

The HHI team is grateful for these collaborations, replications and partnerships. HHI offers special thanks to Dr. Thomas as she completes five years of providing health services to the children at Red Shield.
