ellis familyHalfway through Bridget Ellis’ pregnancy, doctors told her that her unborn baby Brayden had spina bifida. She underwent fetal surgery at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to repair the opening in Brayden’s spine before he was born.

KLAS-TV Las Vegas interviewed the Ellis family and N. Scott Adzick, MD, from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who explains how fetal surgery for spina bifida has become a new standard of care available to families.
