For every visit, whether as an inpatient or outpatient, everyone one at CHOP strives to provide the best care in all aspects. We want every family to have a great experience that goes well beyond excellent clinical treatment. We understand that each family arrives with a unique combination of knowledge, values, beliefs and cultural background, and we work to respect and honor your perspectives and incorporate those characteristics in our care delivery.
A goal is to share information with you in ways that are affirming and useful while still being timely, complete and accurate so you can most effectively help your child.
We encourage patients and families to participate in care and decision-making at the level you choose and offer support, like educational and informational materials, to make it easier.
Our ever-growing CHOP Care Network is one way we work to provide timely access to the right level of care your child needs in a convenient location.
We also invite patients and parents to collaborate with us, through the Family Partners program, when we’re creating communication to families, launching new programs or improving our facilities because your perspective is integral to building the ideal patient and family experience.
We want to know if we’ve done well and when we haven’t met your expectations so we can address issues quickly. The first step is for you to work directly with care providers or CHOP staff when a situation arises.
