June 2, 2010 — The Center for Injury Research and Prevention at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has launched http://www.teendriversource.org, a Web resource designed to help teens stay safe on the road. The site features educational resources, statistics and facts, all based on young driver safety research findings at CHOP.

The new site was created as part of the Young Driver Research Initiative (YDRI), a research and outreach alliance of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute and State Farm Insurance Companies.

It was developed with input from school-based educators, community-based educators, youth leaders, policymakers, policy implementers and others to ensure relevancy and usefulness.
