October 24, 2013 — Garden fun doesn't stop with the end of summer, it continues throughout the fall! In October, patients enjoyed fall activities and planting in the Sea Garden at Children's Seashore House.
Patients, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society helpers and CHOP volunteers planted mums and ornamental grasses, harvested leeks and kale, and refreshed the Carecrows during our October workday! At the Fall Festival, patients painted pumpkins, snacked on autumn-themed treats and watched a slideshow of photos taken in the Sea Garden in 2013.
