CHOP’s Center for Rehabilitation is now offering pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation services at CHOP’s Specialty Care Centers in Virtua, NJ, and King of Prussia, PA. Rehab physicians will provide on-site comprehensive assessments of children with physical disabilities including cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, head and spinal cord injuries and more, making recommendations for appropriate rehabilitation interventions.
The Virtua clinic will be held the first and third Mondays and Thursdays of each month. King of Prussia will be the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Find rehab services »
Find recommended steps for the evaluation and treatment of children with chronic abdominal pain (pain lasting longer than six weeks). The CHOP pathway includes a list of red flags and concerning symptoms to watch for, including consideration for lab studies and behavioral health screenings and a treatment table for common conditions.
Mark R. Zaontz, MD, has particular expertise in caring for patients with hypospadias and congenital malformations of the genitourinary tract, including vesicoureteral reflux and hydronephrosis. He will be seeing patients at Main Campus and CHOP’s Specialty Care & Surgery Center in Voorhees, NJ.
Pediatric neuro-ophthalmologist Robert A. Avery, DO, MSCE, recently joined CHOP’s Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology. As part of the Hospital’s Pediatric Neuro-ophthalmology service, he specializes in the care of children with optic pathway gliomas and optic neuropathy. Dr. Avery will see patients at Main Campus.
