There have been a lot of questions regarding the United Healthcare Community Plans available in the tri-state region. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and its Care Network are fully participating with the United Healthcare Community Plans of both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and we have established a process where the Delaware plan members may access some services at CHOP. Outpatient Adolescent Medicine Specialty Care Services

Physicians in CHOP’s Division of Adolescent Medicine are available to provide outpatient consultation to primary care physicians, specialists and other healthcare providers on adolescent medical issues, including:

  • Menstrual and other gynecologic problems
  • Contraceptive methods
  • Testing and treatment of STDs
  • Eating and feeding disorders
  • Gender identity and sexual development issues
  • Supporting diagnosis and management of uncomplicated depression and anxiety

CHOP has a dedicated Viral Hepatitis Clinical Care Program, led by Jessica Wen, MD, that offers information about screening, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the five most common types of viral hepatitis. Today’s treatment options for viral hepatitis have improved and are more easily tolerated. Interferon-free, all oral regimens for pediatric patients are on the horizon. Access Updates: Saturday Appointment Hours for Cardiac Patients

The Cardiac Center offers Saturday appointment hours for patients at both Main Campus in Philadelphia and Specialty Care Centers in Voorhees and King of Prussia. Call 215-590-4040 to refer a patient.
