Our partnership with Lancaster General Health continues to expand. In addition to Endocrinology/Diabetes and Cardiology services, CHOP outpatient Neurology and GI care is now offered at Lancaster General Health's Suburban Pavilion. New patient visits and follow-up appointments are available. CHOP cardiologists also offer pediatric inpatient care at Lancaster General Hospital.

Speech-Language Pathology Appointments Available

Outpatient evaluation and treatment appointments with the Department of Speech-Language Pathology are now available across the CHOP network in PA and NJ. We see children and adolescents of all ages for a wide variety of concerns, and prioritize caregiver education when working with each family.

Patient-centered IBD Care

Our Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease provides a patient and family-centered approach to the diagnosis and treatment of IBD, with a focus on cutting-edge research. Patients receive support from a multispecialty team that includes dedicated IBD gastroenterologists, dietitians and social workers, in collaboration with surgeons, radiologists and pathologists. Appointments Available for Diagnostic and Complex Care Center

Alyssa Siegel, MD, has joined Mark Magnusson, MD, PhD, in the Diagnostic and Complex Care Center, and is available to see patients. Siegel and Magnusson specialize in difficult-to-diagnose illnesses managed by the center. The team coordinates consultations with subspecialists as needed, and facilitates communication amongst providers and families.

Primary Care Acute Asthma Pathway

Find practical guidelines for the evaluation of children with asthma and respiratory complaints in a primary care setting, including determining the level of severity, and what to do in the case of mild, moderate or severe PASS scores. ED and inpatient pathways are also available.

How to Identify and Manage Childhood Dyslipidemia

Julie Brothers, MD, Cardiologist and Director of CHOP’s Lipid Heart Clinic, discusses the identification and management of childhood dyslipidemia, including NHLBI screening guidelines, appropriate diet and lifestyle treatment options, and the process for identifying which patients would qualify for drug therapy (statins).

New Sleep Resources for Parents and Caregivers

Specialists from CHOP’s Sleep Center played a key role in the launch of a new sleep resource for parents and caregivers. The Pediatric Sleep Council brings together international sleep experts to provide accurate and up-to-date information on sleep in young children. The council offers an extensive library of age-related advice and resources related to a child’s sleep routine, common sleep problems, sleep safety, naps and more.
