Recap: CHOP’s Fourth Annual Lymphatic Disorder Conference

The Fourth Annual Lymphatic Disorder Conference, held at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on September 18–19, 2025, brought together more than 120 physicians, researchers, nurses, interventionalists, and patient advocates from across the globe. Experts from Denmark, Israel, Korea, India, Poland, Argentina, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, England, Italy and the United States gathered at CHOP to share knowledge and collaborate on innovations in the field of lymphatic science.

Emerging research and real-world clinical applications were highlighted through plenary sessions, case-based discussions, interactive panels, and breakout sessions, and a family panel underscored the critical role patient and caregiver perspectives play in care and research priorities.

Presentations of note

  • “Landmarks and Progress in Lymphatic Systemomics” by Marlys H Witte, MD (University of Arizona College of Medicine), which was a plenary session exploring lymphology practice and treatment from past to present and setting the stage for future discovery.
  • “Pediatric Lymphatic Disorders and Organ Defects” focused on the pathophysiology and clinical presentations of organ-specific lymphatic disorders, emphasizing recent advances in research, diagnosis and management.
