FOI Clinical is a new outbreak monitoring service launched by the team behind Force of Infection, a current briefing on flu, COVID-19, RSV and norovirus. The intention is for frontline clinicians to have recurring, plain language briefings on which infectious diseases are emerging or spiking. This resource will track reportable diseases, emerging outbreaks, and related policy changes that may impact patient care. For clinicians used to relying on Health Alert Network (HAN) advisories, FOI Clinical can help fill the current gap.

The Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) has created a tool, “Using Bridging Statements to Communicate about Vaccines.” Health communicators are frequently encountering false claims and misleading information. All are eager to correct this information and ensure important facts are communicated. Bridging statements help you acknowledge tough questions, respond briefly, and convey what you want people to know.
