Donor Recognition

Recognizing our donors at every level

Your philanthropic support for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) makes you part of a special community of donors who share your dedication to fueling breakthroughs for children and families and advancing the frontiers of pediatric healthcare.

Every dollar counts in our quest to transform care for kids here and around the globe. That’s why we appreciate the inspiring generosity and loyalty of our donors with exclusive recognition societies at every giving level. Your Giving Society membership includes special insider information, exclusive invitations, and named acknowledgment in our annual philanthropy report and on our electronic donor wall.

The Lewis Society

The Lewis Society honors those who choose to support CHOP through a planned gift such as a will, trust, life insurance policy, retirement plan or annuity.

The Lewis Society is named for Dr. Francis West Lewis, who co-founded CHOP after visiting a London hospital devoted to sick children, then enlisted his family in supporting the new hospital through transformational bequests. Today, planned gifts continue the Lewis family tradition of giving, and remain a vital source of funding for the Hospital.

Lewis Society membership includes the following benefits:

  • Recognition on our electronic donor wall and in our annual philanthropy report
  • A Lewis Society welcome packet
  • Bi-annual CEO newsletters
  • An ongoing subscription to Children's View magazine

For more information about The Lewis Society and ways to make a planned gift, please contact the Office of Gift Planning at 267-426-6472 or legacygifts@email.chop.edu.
