Dance Marathon

Students participating in a dance marathon Dance Marathon is a year-round fundraising event that will unite your entire school while raising funds to make breakthroughs for the kids at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

By hosting Dance Marathon at your school, you’ll be showing your support for a cause you believe in – and you’ll have lots of fun, too!

Meet students who have participated in Dance Marathon – and find out what inspires them!

Why we need your help

CHOP is a charity, and we rely on donations and on events like Dance Marathon to provide the funds we need to make breakthroughs for children. You can choose to support a specific program or part of the Hospital, or you can choose to give to the area of the Hospital that needs it most.

More than dancing

There is more to Dance Marathon than dancing! While certain parts of the event do involve dancing, the main purpose of Dance Marathon is to celebrate the accomplishments of your school. Throughout the event, there will be performances, games, stories from families that will benefit from the money you are raising, and so much more!

More than $1.9 million raised

Dance Marathon has raised more than $1.9 million for CHOP programs including oncology, child life and social work since it started five years ago. Currently, seven local colleges and six high schools are hosting Dance Marathons, and several others will join the fun soon!

About our new fundraising campaign

We are currently leading a fundraising campaign called For Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs, and we have an ambitious goal: to raise $1 billion by 2020. By hosting a Dance Marathon, you will help us reach our goal sooner!
