Principal Investigator: David Lynch, MD, PhD, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
This study involves one early morning visit to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This visit includes a DXA scan, an energy expenditure test, a blood draw, and other measures of nutrition. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the body composition (fat and muscle content) and the amount of energy (calories from food) needed in patients with Friedreich's ataxia (FA). This study is recruiting both participants with FA and controls.
