Brain Imaging Study in Friedreich’s Ataxia

Principal InvestigatorDavid Lynch, MD, PhD, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Sponsor: FARA

This study involves four or five visits to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Participants will have one MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) exam that will take a picture of your brain. At four visits, you will be asked to participate in several brain imaging procedures.

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how the brain receives and processes information about movement and sound in people with Friedreich's ataxia (FA). We are looking to see if there is a change in the way people with FA process information over the course of a year.
