If you currently receive family planning services at CHOP Primary Care, Cobbs Creek, or CHOP Primary Care, Karabots in West Philadelphia, there are important changes coming soon.
Effective January 1, 2026:
- If you are not a CHOP Primary Care patient at the office where you receive family planning care (e.g. you don’t get regular check-ups here), you will need to transfer your family planning care to another clinic.
- Uninsured patients can no longer receive family planning services at our offices.
- Patients with private insurance (non-Medicaid) may continue family planning care if you also receive primary care (regular check-ups) at the same location. Please know confidentiality cannot be fully guaranteed due to insurance billing changes.
- Patients with Medicaid may continue family planning care if you also receive primary care (regular check-ups) at the same location.
Our team is available to answer questions, help you find a new clinic, and assist with record transfers. Access Matters has resources to help find other local clinics that offer these services.
For more information, please call Cobbs Creek at 215-476-2223, or Karabots at 267-425-9800.
