Description

The primary objective of this study is to measure camouflaging behaviors (i.e., behaviors that hide autistic symptoms), codeswitching (e.g., behaviors employed to fit in with a majority culture), and social compensation (i.e., behaviors that explicitly support social interaction) in Black and/or African American teenagers with and without ASD using online self-report questionnaires.

What to expect

Both caregivers and teens will complete short online questionnaires about the teen's social experiences. Caregivers and teens will be compensated for their time. We may also ask permission to use previously collected clinical data, such as surveys or videos.
