2026 Maternal Immunization Schedule
The American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG) released a maternal immunization schedule. The schedule provides evidence-based vaccine recommendations to protect pregnant women and their infants from vaccine-preventable diseases, including influenza, COVID-19, pertussis and RSV. It also details vaccines that may be given to certain patients based on other risk factors, while also identifying vaccines that should not be administered during pregnancy.
Although ACOG previously made vaccine recommendations, the 2026 schedule is the first time they have put all of the recommendations in a single document. Notably, the schedule also includes recommendations for postpartum patients and those who are lactating.

Messages are being delivered in a variety of ways using several platforms. Now, many of the messages have also been made available as shareable communication tools. Some of the resources include a list of pediatricians who post trustworthy content on social media, images that accurately portray vaccination, updates from the AAP, and easy-to-share messaging.
