Mobile Health Provider Network

The Maryland Partnership for Prevention (MPP) has created a free Mobile Health Provider Network as well as a Mobile Clinic finder that community health providers can use at no cost. The tools allow health providers to:

  • Post clinics for free
  • Connect and exchange ideas with providers across the network
  • Track clinic activity and services

This infrastructure is designed to help care providers reach more people, operate more efficiently and demonstrate impact.

FACTS-INNATED Podcast

Missed the past few episodes of this podcast? Tune back in here. UNITY Consortium’s vaccine myth-busting podcast recently featured “Real Talk about Vaccines with Dr. Katelyn Jetelina” in April, which explored how AI is influencing people’s healthcare decisions and how parents are challenged to distinguish between credible or misleading information online. Earlier this year, the podcast featured “Why Meningococcal Vaccination Matters: Jamie Schanbaum on Prevention and Policy.” The episodes frequently cover topics relevant to adolescents and young adults, so it is a useful resource for those providing care to these patients.

Supporting adult patients in refugee, immigrant and migrant communities

The Migration Health Initiative recently released a mini-toolkit to support healthcare providers caring for patients in refugee, immigrant and migrant communities. The toolkit reviews communication strategies including building trust, considering family-centered language, exploring patient mindsets, and ensuring resources that are culturally adapted. Materials offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive approaches to vaccine conversations and address practical barriers for families in these communities.

Check out the toolkit.
