#RootedInProtection 2025 Respiratory Campaign
As respiratory virus season kicks off, it’s critical that the public receives clear and timely vaccine information. Vaccinate Your Family has created the #RootedInProtection 2025 Respiratory Campaign. This toolkit contains easy-to-share content covering common questions:
- What are the recommendations for flu, RSV and COVID vaccines this year?
- Do I need an updated vaccine?
- Who is most at risk this respiratory season?
- How do we know these vaccines are safe? What does the science show?
Recognizing many people are getting their health information online, organizations can amplify each other’s messages to ensure all media formats have pro-vaccine messages this respiratory season, and communities receive messages from trusted messengers like yourselves.
Download the campaign materials (available in English & Spanish) and graphics or reach out to damaris@vaccinateyourfamily.org to co-brand materials.

Meningitis Awareness
World Meningitis Day was Oct. 5, 2025. To commemorate the day, Meningitis Awareness has launched a new expert video series for healthcare providers. The videos cover key facts, insights and strategies to increase vaccine coverage, including:
- An overview of the current meningococcal vaccine recommendations
- The AIMs (Announce, Inquire, Mirror, Secure) framework to address vaccine hesitancy
- The health and economic impacts of meningococcal vaccination
- The personal perspectives from two meningococcal disease survivors, Jamie Schanbaum and John B. Grimes
“The President and the Dragon”
While not exactly vaccine related, those in need of an uplifting story of the success of public health should check out “The President and the Dragon.” This powerful new documentary chronicles former U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s decades-long fight to eradicate Guinea worm disease. In 1986, 3.5 million cases of the disease plagued communities. The film shares the story of public health professionals, volunteers, and former child soldiers whose efforts have successfully reduced the case count to only 15 cases in 2024 with support of The Carter Center. Guinea worm disease is close to becoming the second human disease ever eradicated, following smallpox.
