Trusted Messenger Program Training Series

The first module of the Trusted Messenger Program Training Series, “Maximizing Trust & Reducing Resistance” is now available. This is a 1-hour module with continuing education credits that explores an evidence-based approach to address patient resistance and navigate difficult conversations. The module reviews common missteps healthcare providers may make when giving recommendations and provides tools to increase trust through communication. More modules will follow.

Viraltruths.org

Vaccinate Your Family (VYF) recently launched a new microsite. Two features caught our eye. The Vaccine Intelligence Report covers new developments in vaccine policy and research. Providers can subscribe to receive this report weekly. VYF is also collecting stories of vaccine access challenges. These stories can inform the dialogue around public health and encourage policymakers to ensure access to vaccines.

Social media toolkits

  • "Vaccinate Before You Celebrate" social media campaign: #WeThePeopleVax have created holiday campaign material. Spread the word about staying healthy and protected this holiday season on social media by heading to their site and downloading the latest material.
  • Respiratory season graphics: Voices for Vaccines has created a social media toolkit for respiratory season with graphics about flu, COVID and RSV vaccines. Access the materials through their Google Drive.

PopHIVE community-driven data platform

With so many sources of data on infectious diseases and immunizations, PopHIVE has synthesized the information, so public health teams can work more efficiently. Created at the Yale School of Public Health, the website shares integrated data from sources such as the National Wastewater Surveillance Program to programs within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to Google Trends API. Users can find immunization rates of different states, emergency department visits due to RSV, diabetes prevalence, and more. Explore the site and see what may be useful for you and your colleagues.
