  • Background

    Dr. Joseph Piccione, DO, MS, joined the Division of Pulmonary Medicine in 2011 after completing his fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he developed a special interest in pediatric bronchology and aerodigestive disorders.

    He also earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Translational Research from the University of Cincinnati. His thesis work investigated risk factors for the development of bronchiectasis in children with recurrent pulmonary aspiration and was recently published in the journal Pediatric Pulmonology.

    He has joined efforts with the Division of Otolaryngology through The Center for Pediatric Airway Disorders, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health outcomes in children with aerodigestive disorders including tracheostomy dependence, congenital and acquired airway abnormalities, and recurrent aspiration.
