Background

Enelida (Nelly) has worked at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) since 1986. At first, Nelly was a medical assistant prior to becoming a Registered Nurse.  As a registered nurse, she has worked in primary care since 2009.  Starting in 2015, Nelly became the nurse manager and oversaw 20 nurses and 15 medical assistants at the Karabots Primary Care Department until May of 2017. Nelly was also given the opportunity to present in a professional workshop for the nursing staff at CHOP; she discussed various topics, including asthma education, immunization schedules, and cultural effectiveness and awareness. Outside of the clinic, Nelly enjoys volunteering with Dragonfly Asthma Camp, which she has been involved in since 2011.
