Type 1 Diabetes Patient Stories

Sixteen-year-old Orlando Tyler is better able to manage his type 1 diabetes with the help of CHOP's Diabetes Center for Children. 

Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 3, 8-year-old twins Sarah and Elizabeth now have control of their disease — thanks to the specialists at CHOP's Diabetes Center.

With the help of CHOP's Diabetes Center, his school nurse and his love for running, Shiden has managed to stay healthy and keep his type 1 diabetes under control.
