Dr. Casale’s clinical and research interest is in Minimally Invasive Surgery with an emphasis on laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and stone disease. He is one of the world’s foremost authorities of minimally invasive surgical approaches in the pediatric urologic patient. He has assisted in the development of a minimally invasive surgery education center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He developed the Endourology/Laparoscopic Urology Program, as well as the Robotic Surgery Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is an instructor for many physicians across the country in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He is a frequently invited national and international lecturer on the topics of advanced laparoscopy and new frontiers in endourology and robotics.
Dr. Casale has an unrivaled, extensive experience with the treatment of pediatric urologic problems utilizing robotics and other minimally invasive methods. His commitment to patient care led him to become a pioneer of new minimally invasive techniques, including robot-assisted and endoscopic procedures never before performed on children.
