Lakshmi Srinivasan, MBBS, FAAP, is an attending physician in the Division of Neonatology and Newborn Service at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
In addition to her training in Pediatrics and Neonatology, Dr. Srinivasan has received additional training in epidemiology, biostatistics and patient-oriented research through the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Srinivasan is pursuing research on neonatal sepsis and meningitis. She is especially interested in the development of novel tools to improve diagnosis and prediction of severity of illness. She is also interested in understanding the impact of the gut microbiome on neonatal health. She has received grants towards her research from the Junior Investigator Pilot Grant Program at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Foerderer Award at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is also the recipient of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics Fellowship.« Back to Previous Page
