Sophia Rubenstein, BA, BSN, MSN, RN
Sophia Rubenstein, MSN, CRNP, received her Bachelor of Arts, Kinesiology Major with a Minor in Sociology from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. Subsequently, she received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Her concentration of study from the Acute/Chronic Pediatric track.
Sophia started her career in Kinesiology but pivoted to nursing in 2019. Sophia began her nursing career here at CHOP in the PICU in 2019. She quickly realized her love for critical care medicine. She had an opportunity to complete her entire inpatient clinical in our CCU from January 2022 – July 2022. While in the CCU, she presented her systematic review project: “Incidence of Central Line Infection: Central Venous Catheters versus Peripherally Inserted Center Catheters” to both nursing and the APP staff.
Sophia has been active in a variety of volunteer and leadership activities. She volunteered in SPARK (Supervised Physical Activity and Recreation for Kids) leading physical activities and participating in the nutritional program for kids ages 5 and up in West Philadelphia. While in Los Angeles, she was the Director for “Up ‘til Dawn”, where she organized a variety of events to fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
