    Leigh Ann Rola, PA-C, is a pediatric dermatology physician assistant in the Section of Dermatology at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Prior to coming to Philadelphia, she spent two years working as a pediatric dermatology physician assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She holds a bachelor of science in clinical dietetics and nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh, and later graduated from the masters program in physician assistant studies at Chatham University. Her areas of clinical specialty include acne, atopic dermatitis, warts, molluscum, and moles. She has familiarity with management of infantile hemangiomas.

    Certified physician assistants (PAs) are nationally certified and state licensed healthcare professionals who practice medicine in coordination with a supervising physician. Physician assistants are able to see patients on their own or in conjunction with a physician. Physician assistants perform a variety of tasks including taking histories and performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating illness, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies, and providing patients with health education and counseling.
